Do you want to join Oslo Queer Discussion Group?

Last spring we met 4 times and had some really interesting discussions about gender expression, racism, class, BDSM and porn. We talk about queer theory and relate it to practice and our lives. While organizing events creates great queer spaces, we also want to talk about what we think and push our own boundaries.

We are starting up again. First gathering is this Thursday 18th at kl 1930. We are reading a 2 page story from Gender Outlaws for our discussion. If you are intrested in joining send an email to oslo.queer@gmail.com and we will send you the text and location.

Staten ut av underbuksa! Stopp tvangssterilisering!

Oslo Queer oppfordrer ALLE til å signere oppropet og komme på demo:

Fredag 29. juni kl. 14.15 demonstrerer alle gode krefter mot tvangssterilisering av transfolk. Likestillingsminister Inga Marte Thorkildsen kommer for å ta imot underskriftene fra kampanjen (se nedenfor).

I dag kreves det sterilisering (fjerning av eggstokker/testikler) for å endre juridisk kjønn (pass, personnummer o.s.v.). Transfolk har også rett til å bestemme over egen kropp og å ha identitetspapirer som viser hvem de er. Det er på tide at Norge følger Europarådets anbefalinger og endrer dagen praksis!

Oslo Queer at Pride House!

The weekend 23 and 24 june, is Pride House happening in Oslo for the second year in a row. A weekend of seminars, workshops, debates and discussions at Litteraturhuset in Oslo. Oslo Queer will be there as well with different topics and debates, join us there:

Saturday 23... june:
Gender Bender workshop, 17.30, with action afterwards

Sunday 24 june:
Sex, Quuer and Class politics, 14.00
Anti-racism in LGBT movement, 16.30
Powerstructures in sexwork industrie, 16.30

There will be loads of other ineteresting topis there as well the whole weekend:

We will meet every Monday to collect whats been done since last meeting and to look at what we have to do next towards the festival.

Join us! We still need people to work with PR, Food, Workshops, Films, Art, Music and DJs, Volunteers and to coordinate and to form the festival!

Hver mandag skal vi samles for å gå gjenom det som er gjort siden sist møte og hva som trengs å gjøres framover mot festivalen.

Bli med! Vi trenger fremdeles folk som kan være med å jobbe med PR, mat, workshops, filmer, kunst, musikk og DJer, frivillige og i koordineringsgruppa, og å være med å forme festivalen!
